Mr. Amenta served as the development director for Goodwin Square a 350,000 square foot office tower and 125 room boutique hotel as the adaptive reuse of a historic apartment building in Hartford, CT. The the 35-floor office tower is constructed with air rights purchased from abutting historic buildings enabling the preservation of these.
The design provides for a large atrium that serves as the lobby of the office building and also banquet space for the hotel.
This included reaching agreement with historic preservation of buildings that required adopting historic preservation while complying with handicapped access guidelines;
